    An awesome Lakeland walk, steeped with history as you climb up past the disused copper mines to summit Old Man Coniston (813m). Stunning views over Lake Windermere on a clear day and various options to lengthen or shorten this walk.

    An outdoor centre offering a whole host of adventurous activities. We had a go at the paddle boarding and gorge walking – both were great fun! Friendly instructors and beautiful setting

  • PIKE O’BLISCO, CRINKLE CRAGS AND BOW FELL (19KM)

    A fun walk forming part of the Langdale Horseshoe – plenty of climbs along the way, reaching the highest point of 903m before descending back down in to the beautiful valley.

  • Simonside Walking

    Simonside is a very special place to us. Only a 30 minute drive from Newcastle and you have everything you need for a great day outside: woodland trail, hills, scrambling and open fells. It’s even the place we got engaged!

  • Snowdon; The Watkin Path (12.3km)

    Day Walk | Moderate | Mt Snowdon | Watkin Path | North Wales

    Our rating: 5/5

    A spectacular walk up Mt Snowdon (1085m). We took the less popular trail on the Watkin Path with the aim of reaching the top before the train opened! We succeeded and it was an incredible place to be on a clear sunny day with no crowds.

    A well established trail offering fantastic views of the rolling South Downs National Park. A great training walk in preparation for the Oxfam 100km.

  • Tryfan and Glyder Fach (10km)

    Day Walk | Moderate | North Wales | Scrambling

    Our rating: 5/5

    A beauty of a walk in Snowdonia National Park. Some steep sections and scrambling required but a well formed path up to the top. Lots of different routes to choose from.

    A well marked trail across farmland, rolling countryside and through nature reserves. Walk up Ebbor gorge was a highlight.
